Fziomed was pleased to participate in the Global Spine Congress (GSC) held in Istanbul, Turkey from May 27–30, 2026.
The Global Spine Congress is one of the world’s leading meetings dedicated to spine care, bringing together surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the globe to share clinical research, surgical techniques, and innovations aimed at improving patient outcomes.
On Friday, May 29, Fziomed sponsored an Industry Course Lecture titled Reducing Postoperative Pain: Technology, Evidence, and Surgical Experience. We were honored to have Dr. Jeffrey C. Wang (Los Angeles, USA) and Dr. Paul M. Arnold (Chicago, USA) as faculty presenters.
The course attracted significant interest from attendees seeking insights into postoperative pain management, clinical outcomes, and emerging technologies used in spine surgery. The discussion focused on evidence-based approaches that may help support patient recovery and improve long-term outcomes.
Presenting to a standing-room-only audience, Dr. Wang and Dr. Arnold reviewed the role of Oxiplex in reducing postoperative pain following lumbar spine surgery, discussed the Level I clinical evidence supporting its use, and shared real-world surgical cases highlighting Oxiplex use in practice. They also emphasized the importance of critically evaluating clinical evidence when selecting technologies for spine procedures and shared perspectives based on their extensive experience treating patients with lumbar spine conditions.
Both presenters did a masterful job communicating the clinical need for Oxiplex, the unique mode of action, and the clinical evidence supporting its safety and effectiveness in lumbar spine surgery. The session concluded with a robust question & answer session where many attendees asked insightful questions.
Events such as GSC provide valuable opportunities for spine specialists to exchange knowledge, review emerging research, and discuss practical considerations that may influence surgical decision-making and patient care. Fziomed was honored to participate in the Hysteroscopy Assisted Reproductive Technology and Ultrasonography (HARTUS) Annual Meeting held in Rome, Italy from April 27 – 29, 2026.
Throughout the meeting, Fziomed welcomed attendees to its exhibit booth, where we showcased Oxiplex/IU and Oxiplex/AP Adhesion Barrier Gels. Our team provided product demonstrations, discussed Fziomed’s proprietary dual-polymer technology platform, and reviewed the clinical evidence supporting the use of Oxiplex/IU and Oxiplex/AP for adhesion prevention.
Fziomed also sponsored a Breakfast Symposium on April 28, chaired by Prof. Attilio Di Spiezio Sardo (Naples, Italy) with featured speaker Dr. Brunella Zizolfi (Naples, Italy). Presented to a standing-room-only audience, the session explored the clinical impact of postoperative intrauterine adhesions, innovative strategies to reduce adhesion formation, and ongoing clinical research evaluating the effectiveness of Oxiplex/IU.
On the final day of the conference, Oxiplex/IU was showcased during multiple live surgical procedures as part of the live surgery program, which provided attendees with the opportunity to observe hysteroscopy techniques and hear expert clinical commentary from leading physicians in the field. Prof. Sergio Haimovich (Barcelona, Spain), Prof. Stefano Bettocchi (Bari, Italy), Dr. Ursula Catena (Rome, Italy), and Dr. Brunella Zizolfi each discussed and utilized Oxiplex/IU during their live surgeries, providing attendees with an opportunity to observe its application in real-world clinical practice. The live surgery program was expertly coordinated by Prof. Di Spiezio.

To truly address these evolving needs, reproductive specialists must adopt a multidisciplinary approach – combining expertise in hysteroscopy, ultrasonography, reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). A holistic, evidence-based evaluation of female fertility, including the impact of uterine and ovarian aging, is essential. Only by working together across specialties can we uncover, understand and address the full spectrum of reproductive challenges.
With this vision, a group of leading international experts came together in Rome in April 2024. What began as a round table discussion has now evolved into a permanent forum – HARTUS – a new initiative dedicated to transforming fertility care through innovation, collaboration and excellence.
