SAN LUIS OBISPO, California – June 15, 2007 – FzioMed, Inc., a leader in surgical biomaterials, announced today the appointment of James R. Peters to the Company’s board of directors.

Mr. Peters retired in 2006 as partner in the audit practice of Ernst & Young where he served for thirty-five years. His experience includes service as coordinating partner for public and private corporate clients across a variety of industries including health sciences, and advisor to companies during IPO, merger and acquisition, and audit activities. Mr. Peters is a former faculty member of the Director’s Training Program at the Anderson School of Business at University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a former Advisory Board member for the Entrepreneurial Studies Program at the University of Southern California. Mr. Peters is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He serves on the boards of Natrol, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTOL) and ValueClick, Inc. (Nasdaq: VCLK) and has been a frequent speaker on the subjects of venture capital, entrepreneurship, and audit best practices.
